Introduction

NGOConnect Africa is a Section 21 Non-Profit Organisation whose primary mission is to help non-profits be more effective in achieving their objectives through the more efficient use of ICTs (Information and Communications Technologies). 

NGOConnect Africa uses a systematic approach using technology to bring the necessary resources together to collaborate and increase the impact of development in Africa. Focusing on Knowledge, Reach, and Impact, NGOConnect Africa delivers its services through a platform, programs, projects, and publications to an ever growing base of constituents.

NGOConnect Africa’s Vision

To become the ubiquitous resource for the civil society ecosystem in Africa where NGOs and others can:

• Connect and engage with like-minded individuals and organizations across Africa and around the world through an online social workspace
• Publish, share, and search for relevant learning, successes, experiences in a comprehensive knowledge repository
• Find and engage partners for projects, solutions, and/or funding through a proven group of partners
• Locate and access resources to help build internal skills and capacity areas like technology, governance, employability, and sustainability via reputable partners
• Develop and manage collaborative projects in key focus areas across civil, public, and private sectors
• To systematically increase the impact of projects addressing the big African problems including poverty, disease, unemployment, infrastructure, and the environment
• To contribute to the growth of Africa as a Source and Contributor of solutions, products and services to develop, serve and reach those in the “middle of the pyramid”.
• Support, grow, and maintain the development of African Solutions for African People
